# Linkwarden

Bookmarks you host. Linkwarden is AGPL-3.0 — Raindrop.io without the collection in someone else's building.

**Replaces:** Raindrop.io

**Tier:** Easy

## Problem

Raindrop.io is a hosted bookmark database with tags and a reader. You wanted links, collections, and an archive you can export. Linkwarden is AGPL-3.0: collections, tags, and optional page snapshots. This is not Raindrop's every highlight or public-collection social graph.

## Stack

- [Linkwarden](https://linkwarden.app) — AGPL-3.0 self-hosted bookmarks and snapshots

## Estimated SaaS cost saved

| You stop paying | Typical / year | Self-host instead |
|---|---:|---|
| Raindrop.io paid (small team) | $1,200 | Linkwarden + Postgres |

**About $1,200 / year** on a small team, before you count lock-in.

## Deploy on Railway

Placeholder: Linkwarden + Postgres plus a volume for snapshots. No one-click template in this repo yet — Start on Railway. Notes stay on /stacks/memos-notes.

## AGENT_PROMPT

```
Replace Raindrop.io with Linkwarden (https://linkwarden.app).
- Postgres + a volume for archives. Bind HTTP to 0.0.0.0:$PORT. Import a Raindrop CSV/HTML export if you still have one.
- Confirm one collection and one snapshot. Write AGENT_PROMPT.md.
```

## FAQ

### Why not Memos?

Memos is notes (/replace/google-keep). Raindrop is bookmarks. Linkwarden is that job.

### Will highlights come over?

Treat it as a cutover. Import the links you still want. New saves go through Linkwarden.
