Mealie / Tandoor
Recipes you host. Mealie is AGPL-3.0 — Paprika without the app-store seat. Tandoor is AGPL-3.0 with Commons Clause (not OSI).
The problem
Paprika is a paid recipe manager on each device. You wanted a cookbook you can import from a URL. Mealie is AGPL-3.0 (recipe manager, meal planner, REST API). Tandoor Recipes is AGPL-3.0 with Commons Clause — source-available, not OSI; self-host for your household, do not Sell it as a hosted product. Grocy is MIT if the job is groceries plus a recipe book. Nextcloud Cookbook is AGPL-3.0 if Nextcloud is already the suite. This is not Paprika's every grocery-chain sync or meal-kit SKU.

FAQ
- Mealie or Tandoor?
- Mealie if you want AGPL without Commons Clause (the published path). Tandoor if you want that product and accept the Clause. Grocy if the job is the whole household fridge.
- Why is Tandoor not the default?
- Useful, and not OSI. Commons Clause forbids Selling the software. Mealie is AGPL-3.0.
- Will Paprika export?
- Treat it as a cutover. Import URLs or a file Paprika still gives you. Do not promise a perfect native dump.
