Overleaf CE / TeXstudio

LaTeX you host. Overleaf Community Edition is AGPL-3.0; TeXstudio is GPL-3.0 — Overleaf Cloud without the hosted compile seat.

The problem

Overleaf Cloud is a hosted collaborative LaTeX desk. You wanted a .tex project on a box you run. Overleaf Community Edition is AGPL-3.0 (overleaf/overleaf; last push 17 Sep 2026) — Server Pro is commercial, skip it. The toolkit (overleaf/toolkit; last push 23 Oct 2026) is how you self-host. TeXstudio is GPL-3.0 (texstudio-org/texstudio; last push 24 Oct 2026) — a desktop editor, not a web desk. This is not Overleaf Cloud's every compile, track-changes, or dropbox SKU. A team wiki stays on /replace/notion (Docmost).

Replace Overleaf Cloud with Overleaf Community Edition (preferred) or TeXstudio.

- Official toolkit docs (overleaf/toolkit). Persist Mongo, Redis, and compile data. Open one project. Do not claim Overleaf Cloud compile SKUs or Server Pro.
- TeXstudio if the job is a local .tex file. A wiki stays on /stacks/docmost-wiki.
- Write AGENT_PROMPT.md.
