PeerTube / MediaCMS
Video you host. PeerTube and MediaCMS are AGPL-3.0 — Vimeo without the Starter seat. Owncast is MIT if the job is live.
The problem
Vimeo Starter is $12/month billed annually; Standard is $25. You wanted a player, a library, and no ads. PeerTube is AGPL-3.0 federated hosting. MediaCMS is AGPL-3.0 if you want a library without federation. Owncast is MIT livestreaming. Loom-style recordings stay on /stacks/openscreen-video.

Placeholder: PeerTube (or MediaCMS) + object storage or a large volume. Transcoding is CPU-heavy. Owncast if this is live only. Loom stays on /stacks/openscreen-video.
