PostHog
Product analytics, session replay, and surveys you can self-host. Hotjar without the session pack.
The problem
Hotjar (Contentsquare) meters sessions and then upsells Growth. PostHog is in the catalog and does replay, funnels, and product analytics on your Postgres/ClickHouse.

Agent setup prompt
Replace Hotjar with self-hosted PostHog. - Follow PostHog's self-host compose. Persist Postgres/ClickHouse/Redis. - Install the JS snippet on the site that currently loads Hotjar. Confirm one replay and one heatmap-equivalent insight. - Document GDPR posture (self-host, first-party).

FAQ
- Why not Swetrix?
- Swetrix replaces GA/Mixpanel pageviews. Hotjar is session replay and heatmaps — that is PostHog's job. Use Swetrix for traffic, PostHog for 'what did they click'.
